We are here to answer your questions.

Q: Do you work on children?

A: Yes, we are a family practice.

Q: When should I start bringing my children to the dentist for their first cleaning?

A:  We usually start seeing children at 3 years of age.

Q: What insurances do you take?

A: We accept most dental insurances. Please call the office and a staff member will be able to further answer your specific questions.

Q: Do you offer payment plans?

A: Patients are expected to pay for treatment at the time of their visit. If any treatment should take several visits, you may pay for the treatment over the course of the visits. We offer other financial arrangements on an individual basis.

Q: What types of payments do you accept?

A: We accept Cash, Checks, Visa, Master Card, Discover, and Care Credit. We also provide receipts for Flex Spending Accounts.

Q: What happens when I cannot make my scheduled appointment?

A: Confirmation phone calls are made prior to your dental visit as a courtesy to our patients. In the event you cannot be at your scheduled appointment, we require a phone call cancellation 24 hours prior to your appointment time. We understand that unexpected situations occur, and sometimes you are not able to give advance notice. A missed appointment is excused for the first occurrence. A charge will be assessed if a second appointment is missed without proper cancellation notice. It is extremely important to be on time for your scheduled appointment.

Q: What should I bring to my first appointment?

A: Please bring your dental insurance card and any recent x-rays that you may have had taken at your previous dental office. You will also be asked to complete paperwork at the first visit.

Q: What do I do if I have an emergency when the office is closed?

A: Call our office phone number at any time. If the office is closed, there will be directions on the answering machine as to how to get in touch with Dr.Slavsky. Dr. Slavsky will call you back personally, and answer your questions pertaining to your emergency and determine what needs to be done.

Q: Why is it so important to floss on a daily basis?

A: Flossing helps prevent decay in-between your teeth and helps prevent gum disease.

Q: Why do children have to have primary teeth filled?

A: Primary teeth maintain spacing for permanent teeth. Filling these teeth helps prevent the growth of decay and spread of infection.
